Frequently Asked Questions
1. What ages do you teach?
Georgina teaches students from around 12 years old and up.
2. Can students take music exams?
Yes! Students can work towards music exams with Georgina’s guidance. Exam entry is only with her approval, to make sure each student is well prepared. You can view past student exam results here.
3. What kind of lessons are available?
Here’s a general guide:

Beginner Levels (ages 12+) A 30-minute one-to-one lesson is a great place to start.

Advanced or older students (ages 12–16) A 40-minute one-to-one lesson is often more suitable.

Adult beginners – Can also start with a 40-minute lesson.

Advanced students – a 45 or 60-minute lesson, especially for preparing for exams.
4. Where can we get an instrument, and how do we know the right size?
Many local music shops offer both sales and rentals. Instruments can also be bought online, depending on budget and quality. Georgina can offer advice.
5. Do I need an instrument for my first lesson?
Keyboard students can use Georgina’s full-sized keyboard during lessons. For other instruments, please bring your own so Georgina can assess if it’s suitable for your learning journey.
6. What if I’m unwell and can’t attend my lesson?
Unfortunately, missed lessons are not rescheduled. However, if you let Georgina know at least 24 hours in advance, your lesson can be moved online so you won’t miss out.
