Georgina reached the final reserve list for the first televised round of Guitar Star 2015 Sky Arts programme from several 1000’s of entries from male and female competitors of all ages across Ireland and the UK. Georgina was asked to be on the last 4 reserve guitarists of only 16 guitarists selected through to the first televised round filmed at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, UK. It seems to be a myth that some parents and students feel it is suitable to learn a musical instrument ‘as and when’ it suits and a masterpiece will be performed by the student overnight after 2 lessons, a 2 month gap between classes and a extra long holiday. Learning a musical instrument is not ‘just for Christmas’ it is for life!
